New WCST Website
Hello Parents!
There is a ton of information in this email and it is very important for you to read it in its entirety.
My name is Susan Smith and I am the Meet Director and Computer Scorer for the Whittington Creek Swim Team. I am extremely excited about this summer! I see lots of blue ribbons, medals and trophies in our futures!
We have a new website which will replace the old Community Zero website. This new site will contain all of the information from the Community Zero website. We made the change because Community Zero will end its consumer business in July of this year. The NEW website is www.WCST.swim-team.us and the team password is Crocodiles (Capitalization is important.) Please take the time to peruse the site and become familiar with all of the options. Please, please understand that this is a new site and there may be problems that arise. Email me if your information is incorrect, if you receive more than one of the same email, or etc. I will correct the problem as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience.
You will be receiving an email concerning our upcoming Green and White meet next Thursday, June 9th. It is VERY important to RSVP your swimmer for EACH meet. You must sign up by Friday, June 3rd. There is also a sign-up sheet in the back hallway of the clubhouse across from the bathrooms. You only need to sign up ONCE for the meet, either the website or signup sheet. If you do not sign-up by the deadline, your swimmer will not swim in the upcoming meet. Also please do not "verbally RSVP" to a coach while they are on the pool deck. There are no writing utensils out there nor do they have the memory capacity to remember 111 swimmers and that Trixie Jane wants to swim in the next meet. .
Last years' coaches: Mollie DeLozier (Head), Jimmy Dabney, Jace Howanitz, and Michael McCarty have returned for the 2011 summer season. We truly appreciate each and every one of them. Coach Mollie has promoted Coach Jimmy to Associate Head Coach. Coach Jimmy is a tremendous value add to our team and he has stepped up to the plate to assist Coach Mollie while she deals with medical issues. Congratulate him when you see him!
Coach Mollie hired Brooke Rooney as an Assistant Coach. She is incredibly talented and experienced. If you see her on the pool deck please stop, say Hi and introduce yourself. We are very privileged to have her.
If you have any questions concerning the website, feel free to contact me at 696-0778 or [email protected].
If you have any questions concerning swimming and the meets, please contact Coach Mollie at 386-8334 or [email protected].
Swim fast!!!!
Susan
