Greetings Parents,

Dates for the Swim Techique clinic have been changed to July 14 & 15, the weekend AFTER the Smoky Mountain iniviational.  Coach Mike DeRocco and former WCST Coach Jimmy Dabney will be teaming up to offer our swimmers a level of technique work that no other summer league team can or does.  As highly accomplished swimmers at the University of Tennessee and experienced coaches who have worked alongside top collegiate and USA swimming coaches, both are able to translate the most current thinking on fast technique into concepts for summer swimmers.  Participants will be viewing videos of professional swimmers and also watching in-water demonstrations.  With two hours per stroke, time is available to break down and rebuild each stroke in a way that regular practice doesn't allow.  

This unique opportunity is available to WCST swimmers 11-18 years of age.  Cost:  $35 per session.  Location: our pool.  

Schedule:  Saturday, July 14 from 7 AM to 9 AM is freestyle.  Saturday, July 14 from 9 AM to 11 AM is backstroke.  Sunday, July 15 from 8 AM to 10 AM is butterfly.  Sunday, July 15 from 10 AM to noon is breaststroke.  

A minimum of 8 swimmers per session are needed to make a class.  Session size is limited to 18 swimmers.  To register or obtain more information, contact Coach Mike at (518) 878-4042 or [email protected].  There will also be a sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse.
