WCST - Crestwood Hills Meet Tips and Info
Here are things you need to know for the Crestwood Hills Meet:
- Crestwood Hills Pool is located at 8740 Fox Lonas.
- Parking - After the parking lot at the Crestwood Pool is full, please park in the grass behind the pool. There will be signs directing traffic. Please pull into the field and do not block access to the grassy area for other cars. Do not park on the street surrounding the pool. Cars may stop to unload at the gate on the way to the “field".
- Swimmers should be at the pool dressed and ready to swim by 5:15pm. Warm-ups for WCST are at 5:30pm. Meet will start promptly at 6:00pm.
- Visiting teams may set up in the grassy area between lane 1 and the tennis courts. Please keep the concrete deck along pool clear for coaches, officials, and workers.
- The WCST swimming lineup will be posted on a bulletin board in our team area- please check for it when you arrive.
- On-deck Meet Volunteers will be called to report to a short meeting before the meet (approx 5:45pm). 2nd shift volunteers will be called to report to their stations - so please listen for an announcement halfway thru the meet (approx. 7:30pm).
- Bring towel, swimsuit, goggles, sharpies, money, sunscreen, bug spray, and dry clothes. Optional items - small tents, camping chairs, blankets, small coolers.
- Concession stand will serve Marco’s pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, sodas, Gatorade, water, homemade cookies, and puppy chow (rice chex cereal coated in chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar).
- Ribbons are given out at practice on Friday and are placed in a folder with your last name. Your swimmer's time will be on their ribbon - or on your parent page on the website under the Actions tab.
- Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area at all GKAISA meets.
- Please check the WCST Weather policy on the homepage of the website. We will swim in the rain - so bring your rain gear if rain is in the forecast.
