Swim Team News-Please Read

Thank you to all parents, swimmers, and coaches that helped make the Green and White meet a success. We are looking forward to a great summer season - with lots of dual meet wins. Please take time to read the following items:

Practice Times: We are fortunate to offer practice times for all ages in the mornings and evenings. As everyone has seen, the limited lane space available in the evening creates difficulties for both coaches and swimmers. While the coaches attempt to work on starts, turns, and stroke techniques during both practices, the morning practice offers the best opportunities for improvement. While you are welcome to attend the practice that better fits your summer schedules, the morning practices are considered the primary practice. If schedules permit, please try to attend the morning sessions to help the coaches manage the reduced lanes available in the evening sessions.

Donut Fridays:(Kids Love Them): Please sign up on the events page or by using the link below to schedule to volunteer. Please continue to visit the link during the season so that each Friday is covered. Parents are reimbursed thru the swim team budget - we just need your help to get them there!

Swimmer RSVP: Please RSVP your swimmer each week for the dual meets under the events page. You are able to register for all meets today, but we do need all swimmers registered for the meet several days in advance so that coaches can determine the line-up that will most likely bring home a team win.

Meet Volunteers:  GKAISA Meets require many parent volunteers to help get the swimmers to the block and run a legal meet. Based on the size of our team, Whittington Creek needs at least one parent from each family to fill a position at each meet your child swims. Please register under the events page after signing your swimmers up for the meet.  If you are brand new to swimming, we will teach you what to do during the volunteer meeting before each meet.
