Here are a few things you need to know for the View Harbor Meet this Thursday:

- Meet schedule:

• 4pm Setup begins at pool - chairs, tables, tents, meet supplies, etc. all need to be in place by 5pm - help needed!!
• 5pm Warmups for Swimmers - kids need to be at the pool at 5:00pm dressed and ready to swim for warmups.
• 5:30pm Both shifts of Meet Volunteers report to Scorer's Table - Referee & Meet Director will instruct volunteers
• 6pm Meet begins - let's swim!!
• 7:30pm 2nd Shift Meet Volunteers will be called to report after event 34 to relieve 1st shift workers
• End of Meet Cleanup begins - parents/swimmers are asked to help clean up so that everyone can get to Pero's!
• Pizza Party at Pero's on the Hill immediately following pool cleanup

- Rain and Thunderstorms are in the forecast. Please check the WCST Weather policy below. Swim Meets still run in the rain - so bring your rain gear if rain is predicted. Of course, safety is our first concern, but we do our best to complete each meet. Our swimmers train everyday and we want to give every swimmer the chance to swim all their events in a meet.

- Bring towel, swimsuit, goggles, sharpies, money, sunscreen, bug spray, rain gear, dry clothes. Optional items - camping chairs, blankets, small coolers. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area during all GKAISA meets.

- Parking is limited near the pool - so we ask our team families to walk or ride together to the pool to leave parking available for our guests. You can park single file along the Boulevard - but not inside the traffic circle/roundabout - thank you!

- Please help our visitors feel welcome! View Harbor has not been to our pool before and they have lots of younger swimmers just like WCST - helping families find a place to sit, giving directions to the clerk of course, restrooms, concessions, etc. would be appreciated!

- The list of events for your swimmer will be posted on bulletin boards at the baby pool - please place a check mark next to your name to let the coaches know you are at the pool.

- WCST Concession stand will be open in the pavilion selling hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, candy and drinks.

- After meet party at Pero's in Rocky Hill! Please RSVP on our Facebook page - the restaurant requires an accurate count to prepare for us. Cost will be 13.75 for adults and 8.75 for children - price includes pizza, spaghetti, drinks and salad bar.

- Heat Winner Ribbons are given out after each heat to the first place swimmer. Heat Place Ribbons (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) are given out at practice on Friday mornings and are placed in a folder with your swimmer's last name.

- Your swimmer's race time will be on their ribbon - or you can check your Parent Page after the meet on our website under the Actions tab in upper left corner. Just click Parent Page and then click the swimmer icon next to your swimmer's name to see all their results.

WCST Weather Pollicy

WCST Swim Practices and Meets continue as scheduled in rainy weather - so please prepare your swimmer - and always bring rain gear to meets when rain is in the forecast.

In case of thunderstorms, the pool will be cleared for 30 minutes at the first clap of thunder - for the safety of all swimmers and coaches.  The coaches will decide whether to continue the practice or meet based on time remaining and weather forecast.  Please be prepared to pick up your swimmer early from practice or have a carpool plan in stormy weather.

Meets that are stopped due to stormy weather before event 40 - and unable to resume - will be rescheduled. After event 40, meets may be rescheduled or considered a complete meet - the coaches of both teams will meet and make the call.
