Here are a few things you need to know for the Cherokee Country Club Away Meet this Tuesday 7/11:

- Meet schedule:

• 5:15pm Warmups for Swimmers - kids need to be at the pool at 5:15pm dressed and ready to swim for warmups!
• 5:30pm Both shifts of Meet Volunteers report to Scorer's Table - Referee & Meet Director will instruct volunteers
• 6pm Meet begins - let's swim!!
• 7:30pm 2nd Shift Meet Volunteers will be called to report after event 34 to relieve 1st shift workers
• After Meet Party at Soccer Taco Northshore immediately following meet

- Address of the CCC pool is 5138 Lyons View Pike - This address will actually take you to the clubhouse on Lyons View. The pool, however, is across the street from clubhouse near golf and the tennis center. Once you turn in across the street from the clubhouse, there are well-labeled signs to the pool.

- The list of events for your swimmer will be on poster boards at the pool - please check for it when you arrive and place a check mark next to your name to let the coaches know you are at the pool.

- Bring towel, swimsuit, goggles, bottled water, sharpies, money, sunscreen, bug spray, rain gear, dry clothes. Optional items - small tents, camping chairs, blankets, small coolers. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area during all GKAISA meets.

- It's July and temps are getting hot!! Please make sure your swimmer (and family) are staying hydrated to avoid muscle cramps and heat exhaustion. You still sweat when you are swimming in the pool - even though you are wet. And it's a good idea to pre-hydrate by drinking some water in the afternoon before the meet.

-CCC will be offering a concessions buffet for any swimmer or parent that is interested. The price is $12 for adults and $8 for kids.

- WCST after meet dinner will be at Northshore Soccer Taco!! The address is 2031 Thunderhead. There will be a taco bar and the cost is $10.75 tax included per person. This does not include drinks. Also, there is no children's price for the bar but you can order off the menu. Please make sure to RSVP on our Facebook page.

- Not all teams do Heat Winner Ribbons like WCST - so, prepare your younger swimmers just in case. Heat Place Ribbons (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) are given out at practice on WEDNESDAY morning this week and are placed in the ribbon box in a folder with your swimmer's last name.

- Your swimmer's race time will be on their ribbon - or you can check your Parent Page after the meet on our website under the Actions tab in upper left corner. Just click Parent Page and then click the swimmer icon next to your swimmer's name to see all their results.
