I know we are all still coming down from City Meet and the swimmers are gearing up for the Croc Mile, but the deadline to register for SMI is tomorrow, so please declare your swimmer if they want to attend. 

SMI is a similar all team meet like GKAISA City Meet, with a few of differences that may help you decide to attend! We hope all of you can join us for this fun event - It is a great way for the younger swimmers to get a feel for an all league wide meet! 

1. All races are finals. There are not prelims for SMI. 

2. Your swimmer can choose their own events! The list will populate when you declare your swimmer and they can chose what they want to swim (2 individuals, 2 relays - relays will still be coach arranged).

3. Swimmers that have participated in a USA sanctioned meet since last August are NOT eligible to attend. This allows summer swimmers to show off their best stuff in completion with other summer swimmers!

4. SMI does medals/awards right after the meet, so your swimmer has the opportunity to stand on place bocks with their medals for pictures with everyone cheering them on! 

5. SMI has the same feel as City Meet, with the home-base tent, fellowship, comradery, snacks, and general tomfoolery that happens when we share a tent!

6. Swimmers have the opportunity to buy a wristband pass to swim between events in the spectator side of pool where there is a big slide. Parents and kids alike enjoy cooling off in the water. Wristbands are sold by session or as a whole day pass. Parents who work volunteer shifts will receive a free wristband.

7. Parking is free!

Carpools happen often due to our crazy schedules - if you need a carpool arranged, let us know and we will be happy to help and connect with you a good carpool for your swimmer if you need to adjust your own attendance time. 

We urge you to give SMI a try - it is a lot of fun and WCST has a great opportunity to place very high overall when our athletes show up! We were 3rd overall last year and that is something to brag about!
