Sugarwood is a very large team. We expect for them to bring about 155 swimmers. Please walk to the pool if your family is able. Parking will be very limited. You are welcomed to drive down your tents and chairs anytime and we will block the parking lot off at 4:00.
As a reminder, the list of events for your swimmer will be posted on SwimTopia. If you don't have the app yet, you can download a free version on a smart phone. Here you can easily see a list of your swimmer’s events and your volunteer commitments, as well as your swimmer's results. The homepage of the website has more info on this app. The heat sheet will be posted on Facebook for this meet. There will also be a bulletin board on the fence in the parking lot, so please check for it when you arrive to the meet.
What to Bring: Towel, caps, swimsuit, goggles, sharpies, money, sunscreen, bug spray, dry clothes. Optional items - tents, chairs, blankets, coolers. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area during all GKAISA meets. Label
everything so missing items can be returned to you. ***If you are a new WCST swimmer and did not get a white CREEK swim cap, please reply to me and let me know and we will get one to you tomorrow!)
IMPORTANT: Mark Your Swimmer Name, Age, Event, Heat, Lane: For new and young swimmers, and at large meets, it is crucial that your swimmer is marked with their last name and age on their back, as well as their event, heat, and lane assignments on an arm or leg. This enables the Clerk, Marshal, Lane Timers, and other Volunteers ensure your swimmer is in the right place at the right time for their events. Many times heats can be combined and swimmers moved to fill holes and keep the meet moving, and it is helpful if a swimmer can be quickly identified.
There are many ways to do this, and I have added an attachment as an example. If you need assistance in learning to mark your swimmer, please swing by the scoring table when you arrive and a volunteer will help you. If you want to mark your swimmer before you leave the house, you will find the heat sheets on Facebook and in the SwimTopia app a couple of hours prior to the meet.
WCST Concession stand will be in the pavilion offering hotdogs, hamburgers, snacks, candy and drinks. (Cash and Venmo accepted - No bills larger than $20 please).
Consult the WCST website's FAQ page for more great information!
See you at the pool! GO CROCS!!!
