- Gulfwood pool is located at 9127 Candlewood Drive in the Cedar Bluff area. See the attached map.
- Parking: Gulfwood offers a large grass field to park in right outside of the pool. If you arrive before 5:00, check parking in the field before you have to walk from the street. In event of limited spots when you arrive, you are more than welcome to park on the surrounding streets. If you do so they ask that you only park on one side. There will be signs posted designating what side of the street to park on. They also ask that no cars be parked in the grass on both sides of the pool driveway as the grass belongs to homeowners. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS.
- The pool is shaped like a “Z” with a 12ft. diving well and 2ft. baby pool. These areas, including diving boards, are OFF LIMITS at all times during the meet. They will have a perimeter set up around the pool when you arrive and they ask that all spectators respect the perimeter. On the visitors side of the pool, they offer multiple lounge chairs and round tables with regular chairs. Parents and spectators are more than welcome to bring coolers and folding chairs.
- Bring towel, swimsuit, goggles, sharpies, money, sunscreen, bug spray, dry clothes. Optional items - camping chairs, small tents, blankets, small coolers. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area during all GKAISA meets.
- Gulfwood pool is a 25 Meter pool - instead of a 25 Yard pool like ours and all the others we have swam in this season. Please let your swimmer know - their times in each event will be slower than normal because of the slightly longer distance.
- The list of events for your swimmer will be posted on a poster on the pool deck - please check for it when you arrive. Parents can also download and print a Heat Sheet from the Meets & Events section of the website on the afternoon of the meet.
- Swimmers will be assigned events based on what the team needs to score points - but the coaching staff does their best to let kids swim what they want to swim. :)
- Please do not leave the swim meet without checking in first with the Head Coach - your swimmer may be needed on relays or to fill in for another swimmer.
- Cash Only Concession stand available consisting of multiple items such as pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, chips and drinks.
- After Meet Pizza Party at Pero's - Unlimited pizza buffet plus spaghetti, salad, and sodas or tea. Adult beverages available - but at an additional cost.
- Not all GKAISA teams give out Heat Winner Ribbons - so please prepare your 10&unders that they might not get a ribbon for heat wins at away meets. Heat Place Ribbons (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) are given out at practices on Friday or Monday mornings and are placed in a folder with your swimmer's last name.
- Consult the WCST website's FAQ page for more great info!
See you at the pool! GO CROCS!!

WCST Weather Pollicy
WCST Swim Practices and Meets continue as scheduled in rainy weather - so please prepare your swimmer - and always bring rain gear to meets when rain is in the forecast.
In case of thunderstorms, the pool will be cleared for 30 minutes at the first clap of thunder - for the safety of all swimmers and coaches. The coaches will decide whether to continue the practice or meet based on time remaining and weather forecast. Please be prepared to pick up your swimmer early from practice or have a carpool plan in stormy weather.
Meets that are stopped due to stormy weather before event 40 - and unable to resume - will be rescheduled. After event 40, meets may be rescheduled or considered a complete meet - the coaches of both teams will meet and make the call.
